The North Dakota Training Academy for Addiction Professionals (NDTAAP) is a consortium of members with the mission of training and preparing future addiction counselors within North Dakota.
The Overall Goal
To prepare addiction counselor trainees to meet or exceed competencies and the skill set required to obtain licensure as an addiction counselor in North Dakota.
Our Program
The Program provided by NDTAAP combines coursework and clinical experience, allowing for integration and application of theory and practice.
An apprenticeship model is used within the clinical setting and the trainee plays a vital role in the experience. Trainees must demonstrate self-motivation and direction to have the best clinical experience.
